Nauvoo, Illinois

We were so privileged to visit Nauvoo last week! For those of you who may not know about Nauvoo or are planning a visit there, this is a great website: http://www.historicnauvoo.net/

Anyway, we had a great time. We camped in the Nauvoo State Park and even got to meet my mom and sister and her family there while they were travelling with a tour group! It was awesome! Among the many activities we did while there was a 3-mile handcart trek! If you have some time and want to share in our journey on this trek, I made a slideshow of it. It was hard to cut any pictures out because they all tell the story, so make sure you have plenty of time before you click play!!! Along with our trip to the temple this trip was well worth our time. It was an adventure we will probably never forget!

That looked like fun! We are planning on going at the end of July. Not sure we would do the walk but we might look into it! The youth in the stake out here is going to Wyoming this week for the Trek! They are all excited to go!

Wow! all so real hu?! Pretty hard to pull/push after it broke it looks like! You have some strong guys there! To think of all the women in those long dresses while doing this is quite a thought after watching your family! What a great family event to bring you closer to one another!
Looks like everyone enjoyed it....well all but Katie....I love the part where Tyler carries his baby sister and lets her go to sleep! What a brother! What a great family memory!
