Seminary, Salsa, Scrimmage, School, Schedules...........

It's an S thing! I have been running like a superwoman and still have time to blog about it!!!

First of all, Seminary started this week and we get the privelege of starting at 6:30 am to have it before school! I also got the opportunity this week to be called as their teacher--so it's an added challenge to get up and be ready to teach these youth! We turned part of our basement into a little classroom and even put up a chalkboard and have some desks for the kids to sit at! I'm really liking it so far and enjoy sharing my testimony of the gospel with them each day--plus, it helps me get my regular scripture study in each day! This year we are learning the New Testament.



Next, Adam started football last week and they had their first scrimmage on Wednesday. His team lost but Adam did SUPER! And, of course we already had to take a trip to the dr. because he hurt his back in the sport--all part of it, they tell me! He is fine, just a pulled muscle.



School is in full swing and keeps us busy. Along with being taxi driver each day because the bus is, well, --scary--, we also have marching band and football every week! Heather & Tyler are in marching band and are required to attend every game.
Tyler plays the tuba (sousaphone) and even does the half-time dance quite well ;) !


Heather plays the flute with the band when they are in the bleachers, but when they go out to march she's left all alone.....



Her therapy is going well, too! She can bend it on her own and lift her leg on her own--things you certainly don't think would be hard to do until your knee is out of commission for a while!

Then, because we felt bored :) we decided to make salsa with our over-abundance of tomatoes! So, we made it a family event, as usual, and chopped,





and cooked,



and bottled 57 quarts (Yes, quarts, because pints would be just silly in our family!!!) of salsa!!




It's been a crazy week and we are happy to have a little rest today. We only made some tomato juice and we are off to have a campfire with some friends. Happy Labor Day!
