Heather had surgery on her knee yesterday. Specifically, a right knee proximal and distal realignment. They had to go in the side of her knee and tighten up the ligaments connected to her knee cap and then below her knee they cut a small wedge out of her bone and screwed it back in place so it was all more properly aligned. They said this is why her knee would always give out because it was not aligned so when she would bend and straighten the knee cap would go off to the side. She did great and is recovering well so far. She starts physical therapy on Friday and her post-op appt. is next Wednesday. The dr. that did her surgery was very nice and made sure we understood all that we could before we left. He also said that he found two stitches from her last surgery--2 1/2 years ago--so he removed those while he was in there!

ohhhhh, I'm glad the surgery went well (that's yucky that those stictches were still in there) and that she is on the road to recovery. We will keep her in our prayers :)
